Easter

Before any Easter festivities could begin we had to take some family pictures because dirt is usually not far behind.  To our surprise it was Tanner who turned out to be the smily one.  But you can't blame Jett because he only had a 20 minute morning nap and had missed two meals of baby food.

What a good looking family.  We feel so blessed to be our kids parents and feel like we have had great examples in our own parents.
What cuties!!  I am a proud momma for sure.
There's our smiling boy.  So handsome.
 Love this little man.
I call this my cheese face.  He often gives this smile if you look at him.  Look at that wrinkled nose.
Tanner was way into the Easter egg hunt this year.  It was so cute.  After she found all the eggs she promptly asked us to hid them again, and didn't even open them.
Daddy and Tanner looking for eggs.  Once the bucket  got to heavy for her to hold she would ask Daddy or Papa to carry it for her.
Mommy's turn to hunt for eggs.  I did drop one egg and it opened up and she said what is that.  I quickly said bunny poop, and she believed me.   THen I ate one and she was intrigued and asked to try it too.  Then she realized it was candy and said it's not poop its yummy.  What a smart girl I have.
 Look at my loot mommy.
My cousin Stephanie made this beautiful egg cake for us for Easter.  She did a great job.  THanks Steph!

What should we do today? Lets go to the moon.

So one morning we were sitting at the breakfast table asking Tanner what she wanted to do today and she was in her grumpy self so Jay started making suggestions.  He asked her if she walked to go to the park, on a walk, watch a movie, go to the moon etc.  Finally she decided to go to the moon.  Wondering how Jay was going to live up to that one, later I learned he planned to build a rocket ship.
Two hours later daddy and Tanner were busy building a rocket complete with a window and door.  Jett was really happy to watch the action.  Of course daddy did most of the building but the two had fun none the less.  What a great daddy!!

Almost ready for take off.  Notice Tanner's tools on the little table.  Any time daddy gets his tools out so does Tanner.
Just landed from the moon and had a great trip.  The rocket stayed in the house for 5 days and then it retired at night after bed.  It was quite fun and I can't wait to see what the next thing these two decide to build.

Jett's new move

A couple of weekends ago we met up with Jay's family for lunch, we'll me and the kids did as Jay was busy building sets and as always Tanner and Micah were buddies paling around.  I love how close they are and really hope as they get older they still will have that special bond.
One day after Jett's nap I walked in to find him like this.  Boy, was I surprised.  I guess just like Tanner he will learn to do a lot in his crib where he can focus.  Now he is a rolling machine.  He even rolled off the changing table today as I turned around to talk to Tanner.  YIKES!!  Scared mommy and himself.  Tanner never rolled like this.  Guess no more babies unattended on the changing table.

Balloons

One snowy morning the kids and I decided to blow up balloons and play with them.  Jett of course wanted in on the action too.

Jett's first meal

This is a little old but I had forgot that I had this and so I thought I would post it for all of you to see.  Jett has digressed a little since this video where we have to coax him to open his mouth but I just don't force the issue like I did with Tanner.  So far he is up to eatting lunch and dinner  and a whole size 2 serving at that.  We also are trying to give him very, very tiny pieces of banana and bread to get him use to texture now.  So far all we get is the gag reflex.  Enjoy.

A Vision of things to come

Well one evening Tanner set up a beautiful picnic on the floor when I called her to dinner.  She came so graciously and told me after dinner we would have our picnic.  I then proceeded to set Jett down by the blanket and after dinner this is what we found.  Notice the plate and bowl behind him.  When he is done with something he always puts it behind him.  Do you like how all of his toys are behind him so that only sister's stuff is in front of him.  I couldn't really complain too much because it occupied him for 45 minutes while Tanner and I had a peaceful dinner.  Daddy was away on a trip.
He was so proud of himself and thankfully sister wasn't too mad about it.  I am sure that will change.

Jett's first snow pictures

Last week it snowed again and I realized I had not taken any pictures of Jett in the snow.  Since he can sit up now it made for some better pictures.  Tanner is being her usual self in not liking pictures.  We hope she comes out of this stage soon.

Jett wasn't even fazed by the snow.  He was a happy camper.  Notice Tanner gone?  Yes she was done and went inside.

Cute boy.  Too bad mommy didn't see that my ear was bent on the right side.  Oh well.

Love you more and more every date Jetster.

A little bit of randomness

Last week we had Tanner's friend Aubrie over, and we thought it would be fun to have the girls take a bath together.  They both loved it and I love seeing their friendship blossom.
Looking back through pictures, we realized that Jett and Daddy don't have many pictures together.  Jett is growing up so fast that we needed to capture the moment and also take full advantage of the smiling stage.
I love to take pictures of my sleeping boy.  My heart just warms when I see this face.  He is so precious and very photogenic when he is sleeping.  I see this picture and I think "I love him so much"
 Pure sweetness.
Seven months and how the time is going by quickly.  Jett is sitting up great.  Learning to eat babyfood.  Sleeping through the night and if you look closely has two teeth.  We still have a watery eye from a clogged tear duck but hoping that someday he grows out of it.  I also wonder if he will keep his blue eyes.

I can never get Tanner to take pictures with Jett so here is another attempt.  Here is to hoping she grows back into the smiling stage.
