A train ride

Jay's sister Jenny is here from Romania and on Tuesday she and the cousins took the train from Fresno to Bakersfield to spend 4 days at Grammie's house.  Tanner and Micah were soooo excited to take the train.

On the platform waiting for the train.

 Here they go
Tanner was a little unsure when the loud train rolled up, but the smile on Micah's face says he had no problems.  I can't wait to hear how they did on the train.

First Play date

Well last week I was feeling ready to enter back into the world of toddlers and babysitting. A friend of mine just had her second ( a boy too) and I couldn't wait to pay it forward for all the people who helped me out when I had Jett so I asked if I could take Aubrie for the morning.  Tanner and Aubrie are 3 months apart and our boys will be almost 2 months apart.  Aubrie was a blast to have and taught Tanner the art of dress up.  Little did I know Aubrie had perfected the art of dress up and would keep me busy.  She tried on every one of Tanner's dresses at least 2 times and Tanner was happy to follow suit.  This dress was aubrie's favorite and she kept calling it her "married dress".  You will notice the high heals on too, which tanner calls "clip clop" shoes.  Tanner has perfected walking in them and loves the sound of them on the wood floors.

Aubrie smiles soooo cute, if only she would teach Tanner that instead of "cheese" which tanner really doesn't get and it doesn't give her a smile.  We had two cinderella  outfits so they both had to wear one.  Cinderella is Aubrie's favorite princess

Finally got them both to sit down for a few minutes so that I could feed Jett.  I think I am ready to do it again and Jett was very entertained by two girls.  I can't wait for when it will be two girls and two boys at the same time.  I am invisioning dress up princesses being chased by swords and cowboys.

Two month Jett

Our little guy continues to bless us and we are so thankful for him in our lives for the past two months.  Here is the summary of what our guy is doing:

  • Sleeping from 1030 to 5am at night a couple of nights a week
  • Trying to smile more
  • Sleeps, sleeps, sleeps during the day
  • Eatting 5 oz a bottle (not sure Tanner every did that)
  • Stays awake for an hour between feedings and naps (usually takes 4 1 1/2 naps a day)
  • HE'S A SLEEPER
  • Loves to bounce on our knees
  • Loves baths
  • Taking some reflux medicine to help throw up less and food stay down
  • Loves to follow mommy, daddy and Tanner around the room with his eyes
  • Has to weigh almost 12 lbs and already in 3-6 months clothes

LOVE THIS LITTLE MAN

Rare moments of smiling and I captured it on camera
This is a picture that I totally see Jay in Jett.  Many people say he looks like me but there are expressions or side looks that totally say Jay.
Jett does better at looking at the camera then Tanner does these days.  Tanner would rather play with Jett. But Jett doesn't last long on her lap, she begins to say "too heavy"

I would say I am starting to get the hang of this two kid parenting and I love being a mommy of a boy and a girl.  Both love to cuddle and I feel so blessed to be their mommy.
