March in a nutshell

With all the snow we have been getting, there have been lots of playdates.  Here is a picture I finally snapped of the boys having some tummy time.  Sawyer is the the one on the right and he is almost 10 months then there is Jett at 6 months and Jacob at 5 1/2 months.  I see a long friendship ahead of them.
Well we finally got a picture for the "nana" frame that mom got for christmas.  It took us several tries as Tanner is not the most cooperative child these days. Jett is always ready for a picture.
 See Jett loves the camera.
I love this picture because it is Tanner telling me "no picture mom"  and I get to see her sassy face.  Oh I think we are going to be in for it with the 3's.  She is all sass.
Jett doing what he does best, just hanging out.  He loves to use the walker and walk backwards.  Heres to hoping that he walks earlier then 17 months like Tanner.
We got in our first park day in fresno while Jay was gone on one of his many trips.  This is Jett's first swing experience and it is safe to say he liked it.   Tanner doesn't seem to love the swings so much anymore.  Only time will tell with her though.

We also got in a zoo day with my friend Tara and her two kids Asher and Amalia.  Amalia is only 3 months younger and Asher is 4 1/2.  They are always down in San Diego with us and just moved to Fresno so it was fun to have the kids reconnect and we show them the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.  The giraffees never dissappoint and I love feeding them.
The kiddos wanted to take a picture on every statue animal we saw.  Here is Tanner in her non-picture mode.
Mommy in her kiddos.  I sure hope April is warmer and less wet then March but we survived and had a lot of fun in the process.

A time to remember.

On the anniversary of Elyse going to be with Jesus, a group of close friends of the Carey's went away to the beach to spend this time remembering her and missing her.  The trip started out raining but on the second day the sun came out and it reminded me of the day of her funeral where it was suppose to rain but God knew we needed the sun and so the sun shone bright.  On this outing we went to see the Elephant Seals.

Tanner and Peter looking at the seals.  Many times as I watched these two play, I couldn't help but think that this is what it would have looked like if it was Peter and Elyse.
Peter all smiles.  He is such a cutie and such a blessing to be around.
This is me trying to explain to the kiddos why the seals are throwing sand on themselves.
It was a hard week but a good week too filled with tears and laughter.   Pictures and videos are priceless now and we try to capture it all.

A little catch up

Back in February, Jay and I (and Jett) got away for the weekend to Pismo.  The weather was amazing which helped with our snow blues.  Jett did great in the hotel room.  We laughed because with either child we would lose sleep in the hotel room.  Tanner would stay up  with us til we went to bed but would sleep til 6am.  Jett went to bed at 7pm so we could watch TV but then was up at 4 or 5 am for eating but would go back to sleep.  Someday we will all be able to stay in a hotel room and sleep all through the night, for now we will just enjoy one kid at a time or NO kids.
Jett wishing he could get off that blanket and play in the sand I am sure.  I feel like this was the first time his arms have seen the sun since he was born.

These are a little old but are his 5 month pictures.
Our little is guy is so happy and smiling most of the time.  This was before the teething started because his shirt isn't wet.  Now he is one big drool pool.
Jett is very ticklish on his ribs, neck and squeezing his knees.  It is so fun to hear him laugh.
